The idea of sucking CO2 out of the atmosphere, or flue gases, and storing it in old coal mines or oil reservoirs is nonsensical. (Or rather, "BS") For a start, just look at the volumes involved. In situ, (i.e. before bulking) a tonne of coal takes up a volume about 0.8 cubic metres (the volume of a smallish fridge).
