Should I take AP Bio or AP environmental science? AP Science If math isn’t your strong suit, stick to AP Environmental Science (APES) and AP Biology. AP Bio is slightly harder than APES, but will look stronger on your transcript if you only plan on taking one science AP.

The reason I think you should take bio in 11th because it would help you on your SAT 2, if you want to take biology. Also, environmental science usually involves less work than biology, so if you take it in 12th grade, you can have more time to do your college apps and whatnot.

I plan to take Chem or Physics AP in 12th.

The AP® Biology course is often offered to high school Juniors and Seniors because students must have a foundation in science to successfully learn at the AP level. Is the AP biology exam hard? AP Biology is one of the more difficult APs based on its challenging curriculum, the low rate of students who earn 5s on the exam , and the consensus from students on the demanding nature of the class.

AP Environmental Science is a good option for someone who wants to take an AP science class but without as much rigor or time commitment, or for someone who is already taking a different AP science class and wants to add another that only takes up one class period. Finally, you have two AP Computer Science classes to consider.
